Kluck Nursery Helps to Donate the 100,000th Tree for Trees for Troops Program

Saginaw, MI - Kluck Nursery is donating Real Christmas Trees as part of the national Trees for Troops program, sponsored by the Michigan Christmas Tree Association, the Christmas SPIRIT Foundation and FedEx Corp.

This holiday season, 17,000 trees are expected to be delivered to U.S. military bases, as well as international shipments to military bases overseas. This total will put the program at more than 100,000 trees delivered since the beginning of the program in 2005. Consumers will have the opportunity to purchase trees to donate to the program at various FedEx trailer drop locations across the nation.

Kluck Nursery is sponsoring Trees for Troops Saturday December 3rd and Sunday December 4th. Kluck's has 100 trees tagged that you may purchase for $25.00 and send a personal message to our troops stationed at the Marstow CA Marine base. A 28' FedEx trailer will be on site for those 2 days only so you and your family can personally load your tree right into the FedEx trailer.

"People appreciate the sacrifices military members and their families make each and every day," says Dick Moore, President of the National Christmas Tree Association and owner of Moore Tree Farm LLC in Groton, NY. "And, as Christmas Tree farmers, we want to provide a little Christmas spirit and maybe start a new tradition with military families to be able to experience a traditional Christmas with a Real Tree."

"Trees for Troops is a great program! It is a win-win-win situation for everyone involved," says Christmas SPIRIT Foundation Chair Nigel Manley, a Christmas Tree grower in Bethlehem, NH. "Christmas Tree growers love doing something for a cause, the military is appreciative of what they receive and FedEx makes it so easy for everyone involved."

The collection and delivery of trees will take place from the end of November through the beginning of December. Consumers make make contributions to the Christmas SPIRT Foundation at: www.christmasspiritfoundation.org or can make a $10 donation via their mobile phone by texting the word TREE to 50555.
